Be a woman living in Hawaii
Demonstrate financial need
Be over 21 years of age and have had your educational plans interrupted or delayed by family work obligations or challenging personal circumstances.
Be accepted or enrolled as a full or part-time undergraduate in a college, community college, or university in the State of Hawaii or on-line program from a regionally accredited public or private not for profit educational institution.
Have completed a minimum of 12 credits.
Have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher for the most recent 2 semesters.

For full-time, undergraduates attending an accredited college or high school seniors demonstrating financial need. Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii and a U.S. citizen; must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; and must participate in canoeing, surfing, kayaking, swimming, diving, water polo, sailing, or volleyball, with a record of accomplishments and intention to compete in college. Applicants should demonstrate the spirit of aloha through leadership and community involvement. Multiple one-time scholarships available generally ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 each.

The Duke Award is a one-time award of up to $15,000 created to recognize an outstanding Hawaii high school senior who exemplifies the character and personality traits of Duke Kahanamoku. Duke Award scholars fulfill the Ambassador of Aloha Scholarship requirements at the highest level. This scholarship will help raise awareness about Duke and inspire individuals to emulate his character.

Manaʻo O Ke Kai Scholarship Program provides financial awards to Native Hawaiians who are actively pursuing post-secondary or continuing education. Those seeking programs of study in ocean-related vocations or careers are preferred, but we also support Native Hawaiians who are trying to further their education and skill-set. Programs of study must be at an accredited; post-secondary education institution, or certificate program (ex: a marine training school). MOAA Military Child Scholarships
Eligibility:
Applicants must be under 24 years old. Applicants must have a parent eligible for MOAA membership or be children of active duty, Reserve, National Guard, or retired enlisted military personnel. If the applicant served in a uniformed service before completing college, his or her maximum age for eligibility will be increased by the number of years he or she so served, up to five years. Applicants must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Children attending U.S. military academies and academy prep schools are not eligible. If selected for any Educational Assistance program, the sponsoring parent must have a paid MOAA membership throughout the college years and, if applicable, until the loan is repaid. Male applicants must affirm they have registered or will register for the Selective Service (by accepting the terms at the end of the application).
